Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Tourism’s official website — keralatourism.org — has been ranked the most visited tourism website in India and the second most popular in the world, according to global web analytics leader SimilarWeb.
Beating out even the Government of India’s Incredible India portal, which came in second nationally, Kerala’s tourism website has captivated millions with its rich, immersive content and user-friendly experience.
According to Google Analytics, over 6 million users made approximately 7.9 million visits to the site during the evaluation period. Of these, 5.8 million users arrived via search engines, while over 1 million typed the URL directly, and another 1 million were drawn in by digital advertisements.
Visitors from more than 200 countries are exploring the site, with high interest in sections on accommodation, top travel spots, tour packages, heli-tourism, wedding venues, cultural calendars like Theyyam festivals, and wellness activities such as yoga.
With over 100,000 pages, the site is praised for its stunning visuals, high-resolution photography, and intuitive layout. It also features interactive tools such as trip planners, live webcasts, and e-newsletters — all available in 20+ languages, making it a truly global gateway to Kerala’s culture, nature, and heritage. The website is designed and maintained by Invis Private Limited, the official IT partner of Kerala Tourism.
Tourism and Public Works Minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas hailed the achievement as a reflection of Kerala’s growing reputation as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations. “This global recognition reinforces Kerala’s position as a vibrant, world-class hub for travelers,”minister said.
