Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy rainfall across Kerala till Thursday. The forecast also includes the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h in isolated areas. Authorities have urged the public to remain highly cautious as lightning can be extremely dangerous.
Meanwhile, daytime temperatures continue to rise across the state. A high ultraviolet (UV) index has been recorded between 10 AM and 3 PM, prompting health advisories to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during these hours.
Prolonged exposure to UV rays can lead to sunburn, skin diseases, eye problems, and other health issues. Officials recommend using protective measures such as hats, umbrellas, sunglasses, and wearing full-body cotton clothing when stepping outdoors during the day.
