PM Modi Distributes Over 65 Lakh Property Cards Under SVAMITVA Scheme Across 10 States and 2 UTs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 65 lakh property cards under the SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) scheme. The distribution spanned across 10 states and 2 Union Territories, marking a major step towards empowering rural citizens with legal ownership of their residential properties.

The SVAMITVA scheme, launched in 2020, aims to provide rural landowners with official property records, helping to resolve land disputes, improve financial inclusion, and enable easier access to loans. This initiative also fosters rural development by promoting transparency in property ownership.

Speaking at the event, PM Modi emphasized the transformative impact of property digitization, stating that these property cards will empower millions of rural families by securing their land rights and unlocking economic opportunities.

This large-scale distribution reflects the government’s commitment to rural empowerment through technology-driven solutions and good governance.
