NASA’s C-130 Flies Key NISAR Components to India for 2025 Earth-Monitoring Mission

NASA’s C-130 aircraft has embarked on a crucial journey, transporting essential components for the highly anticipated NISAR mission to India. The radar antenna reflector, a pivotal part of the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite, is headed to Bengaluru, where it will be integrated with the spacecraft built in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Scheduled for a 2025 launch, NISAR will play a vital role in monitoring Earth’s ecosystems, ice sheets, and tracking natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis. This partnership between NASA and ISRO highlights their shared commitment to advancing global environmental surveillance and scientific research.
