Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated, dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹13,000 crore in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The projects are expected to improve transport connectivity, boost industry and trade, and create employment opportunities for the state’s youth. Modi also dedicated a new stretch of the Chennai Metro to the public.
Highlighting the blend of tradition and modern development, the Prime Minister said India was progressing by drawing inspiration from its cultural heritage while building modern infrastructure. He also visited the Brain Research Centre at IIT Madras and extended Navratri greetings to the people.
