New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday congratulated the Indian women’s cricket team on winning the T20 Asia Cup, praising the players for making the country proud.
In a post on X, Murmu said the team was a great source of inspiration for the youth, especially girls, and expressed confidence that they would achieve many more milestones in the future.
Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, India defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs in Dubai on Sunday to secure a record-extending eighth Asia Cup title.
