Jodhpur: A scuffle broke out during a programme organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at the Gandhi Shanti Pratishthan in Jodhpur on Sunday, following an alleged assault on a CJP worker, eyewitnesses said.
According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began after a CJP worker was allegedly slapped by a worker of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). The incident reportedly led to a clash between CJP workers and members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and BJYM.
Eyewitnesses also alleged that the clothes of a CJP worker were torn during the altercation.
Police said they have not received any formal complaint or information regarding an assault or any other offence in connection with the incident.
The altercation took place during the “Education Save, Country Save” dialogue organised by the CJP, police said.
