New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday night said its answer key challenge system is designed to ensure fairness for all candidates and rejected concerns that the process is expensive.
The answer key challenge is an online process through which candidates appearing for examinations such as JEE Main, NEET and UGC-NET can raise objections to errors in the provisional answer key.
The NTA has faced criticism in recent times over several issues, including the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and errors reported in the UGC-NET examinations. The agency maintained that the challenge mechanism provides candidates with an opportunity to raise objections and is intended to ensure transparency and fairness in the examination process.
