Bengaluru: Residents who park vehicles on public roads outside their homes may have to pay an annual fee of up to Rs 25,000 under the draft Greater Bengaluru Authority (Parking) Rules, 2026, released by the Karnataka government.
The proposed residential parking permit fee is Rs 15,000 for hatchbacks, Rs 20,000 for sedans and Rs 25,000 for SUVs.
The draft rules state that residential parking on roads other than arterial and sub-arterial roads will be allowed only for vehicles with a valid parking permit issued by the respective city corporation.
