Ranchi: Protests over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand recruitment examinations intensified on Wednesday as five more students joined an indefinite hunger strike under the banner of the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch.
The protesters are demanding the cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand PSC Civil Services Examination and an independent probe into the alleged irregularities by either the CBI or a panel of retired High Court judges from outside the state.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said question paper leaks are a national issue and offered to hold talks with the students to resolve the impasse.
