Gold Price Crosses ₹1.05 Lakh per Sovereign in Kerala After Fresh Hike

Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in Kerala surged again on Saturday, with the price of 22-carat (916) gold rising by ₹70 per gram, pushing the rate of one sovereign (8 grams) above the ₹1.05 lakh mark.

According to the latest market rates, 22-carat gold is priced at ₹13,135 per gram, while the price of one sovereign (8 grams) stands at ₹1,05,080.

The price of 18-carat gold has reached ₹10,795 per gram, with 8 grams costing ₹86,360.

Meanwhile, silver is being sold at ₹230 per gram, taking the price of 8 grams to ₹1,840.

The continued rise in gold prices is attributed to strong global bullion trends and increased demand in the domestic market. Buyers and jewellers are closely monitoring further movements in the precious metals market.
