
Sanand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking another milestone in India’s efforts to strengthen its semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
Calling the inauguration a reflection of India’s determination to achieve its technological ambitions, the Prime Minister said the country is steadily turning its vision into reality through decisive action.

Sharing glimpses of the event on social media platform X, Modi said it was a pleasure to return to Sanand for the inauguration and expressed confidence that the new facility would accelerate India’s journey towards becoming a global hub for semiconductors and futuristic technologies.
The OSAT facility is expected to boost semiconductor assembly, packaging and testing capabilities in India, supporting the government’s broader vision of developing a robust domestic semiconductor industry and reducing dependence on imports.
