Kochi: Veena T, daughter of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) once again on Thursday for questioning in connection with the CMRL–Exalogic monthly payment case.
The ED had earlier directed her to appear on June 29. However, she was reportedly asked to appear before the agency ahead of the scheduled date. This is the second time Veena has been questioned in the case.
According to officials, the questioning is based on documents and findings submitted by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO).
The investigation pertains to payments amounting to ₹2.78 crore, allegedly made by a mineral sands company to Veena and her company, Exalogic Solutions, between 2016 and 2021 for IT services.
However, the initial investigation reportedly found that Exalogic Solutions did not provide any specific IT services to the company during the period in question. The ED is continuing its investigation into the financial transactions.
