THRISSUR: Gold prices witnessed a slight decline on Wednesday, with the rate of 916 hallmark gold dropping by ₹25 per gram.
According to the latest market rates, 916 gold is priced at ₹13,230 per gram, while the price for 8 grams stands at ₹1,05,840. The rate of 18-carat gold is ₹10,930 per gram and ₹87,440 for 8 grams.
Silver prices remained steady at ₹245 per gram, with 8 grams costing ₹1,960.
Jewellery retailers noted that fluctuations in international gold prices and currency exchange rates continue to influence domestic gold rates.
