Gold prices witnessed a significant decline on Thursday, offering relief to jewellery buyers across Kerala. According to the latest rates, the price of 22-carat gold (916 purity) dropped by ₹195 per gram.
Following the decrease, the price of one gram of 22-carat gold stands at ₹13,350, while eight grams are priced at ₹1,06,800.
The rate of 18-carat gold has been fixed at ₹11,030 per gram and ₹88,240 for eight grams. Silver is being sold at ₹250 per gram, with eight grams priced at ₹2,000.
Jewellery traders said the fall in gold prices could encourage purchases, especially among customers planning weddings and investment-related purchases. Market observers are closely monitoring global economic developments and international bullion trends, which continue to influence domestic gold prices.
