Puthur Zoological Park organized a series of programmes to mark World Environment Day on Friday. Scientist Dr. P.K.C. Pillai from the Kerala Forest Research Institute delivered the Environment Day message as the chief guest.
The occasion also witnessed the launch of the zoo’s special green initiative aimed at planting and nurturing 10,000 saplings within the next two weeks.
Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) R. Delto L. Marokki, Range Forest Officer (RFO) K.G. Jerin Antony, and Biologist Dr. P.C. Sujitha addressed the gathering.
Students and teachers of GVHSS Puthur, along with employees of Puthur Zoological Park, participated in the celebrations.
