Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Surat and Daman on June 5 to inaugurate, dedicate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹21,700 crore.
In Surat, Modi will launch projects worth around ₹18,800 crore, including key sections of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, NH-56 expansion works, a 200-bed ESIC Hospital, and major power and industrial infrastructure projects.
Later in Daman, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building of NAMO Airport and dedicate NAMO Hospital to the nation. He will also unveil and lay foundation stones for projects worth around ₹2,970 crore in sectors such as healthcare, aviation, tourism and infrastructure.
Additionally, Modi will lay the foundation stone for port development projects worth ₹885 crore in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, aimed at improving maritime connectivity, tourism and fisheries infrastructure.
