Oil marketing companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 42 with effect from June 1, while rates for domestic cooking gas cylinders remain unchanged.
Following the revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder, commonly used by hotels, restaurants and other commercial establishments, has risen to Rs 3,113.50 in Delhi from Rs 3,071.50.
However, there has been no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder used in household kitchens. The rate continues to remain at Rs 913 per cylinder in the national capital.
The latest increase is expected to raise operational costs for restaurants, eateries and other businesses that rely on commercial LPG for daily operations.
Oil companies revise LPG prices periodically based on changes in international energy prices and other market factors.
