Fire Breaks Out in AC Coach of Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi Rajdhani Express; No Casualties Reported

Panic gripped passengers after a fire broke out in an air-conditioned coach of the Rajdhani Express travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to New Delhi in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning.

Railway officials said the affected coach, which was carrying around 68 passengers, was evacuated within 15 minutes after the fire was noticed. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

Emergency teams and railway staff rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be officially confirmed.

The incident also affected the schedules of several other trains passing through the route, officials added.

Authorities have initiated further investigation into the incident while railway operations in the affected section are being gradually restored.
