NEET-UG Re-Exam to Be Held on June 21; Exam to Go Online From Next Year

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday announced that the NEET-UG re-examination will be conducted on June 21 following the cancellation of the earlier test amid allegations of irregularities.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Dharmendra Pradhan said the government considers students’ future its highest priority and assured strict action against anyone involved in malpractice.

He stated that there would be “zero tolerance” towards irregularities in the conduct of the medical entrance examination.

The minister also announced that from next year onwards, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) will be conducted in a computer-based format as part of examination reforms.

The NEET-UG exam held on May 3 was cancelled after allegations of question paper leaks and other irregularities surfaced from different parts of the country.
