PM Modi Urges People to Cooperate With Restrictions Amid West Asia Crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged citizens to cooperate with possible restrictions and adopt energy-saving measures amid the continuing crisis in West Asia.

Speaking at an event in Hyderabad, Modi called on people to avoid unnecessary foreign travel in order to help protect the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

He also appealed to citizens to reduce petrol and diesel consumption by using metro trains and other public transport systems. The Prime Minister encouraged carpooling and asked industries to prioritise railways for cargo transportation.

Modi stressed the need to increase the use of electric vehicles and suggested that organisations shift to work-from-home arrangements wherever possible.

The Prime Minister further appealed to people to avoid purchasing gold for one year unless absolutely necessary and urged citizens to support domestic tourism.

For the agricultural sector, Modi advised farmers to reduce the use of chemical fertilisers and switch from diesel pumps to solar-powered systems.

He said collective public cooperation would be essential as tensions continue in West Asia and the country adapts to emerging challenges.
