Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, has begun a four-day official visit to Myanmar from May 2 to 5.
During the visit, he will hold bilateral talks with top Myanmar military leadership, including General Ye Win Oo, Defence Minister General U Htun Aung, and Navy Chief Admiral Htein Win, to review maritime cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration.
The visit will focus on strengthening defence ties, maritime security, training, and capacity building, reaffirming the longstanding partnership between India and Myanmar in the Indian Ocean region.
