Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices increased in the state on Thursday, continuing recent market fluctuations. The price of gold rose to ₹13,880 per gram, with one sovereign reaching ₹1,11,040.
The rate of 18-carat gold also went up to ₹11,470 per gram, while 8 grams is priced at ₹91,760. Silver prices remained at ₹2,000 for 8 grams.
Market observers noted that gold prices have been volatile in recent days. Earlier in March, gold had touched ₹1,26,920 per sovereign.
