Chennai: DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin on Thursday filed his nomination as the party’s candidate for the Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni constituency in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Speaking after filing the papers, Udhayanidhi expressed confidence of a decisive victory, stating that the party is set to “create history” in this election. He said the DMK’s governance record and welfare measures would ensure strong public support.
Senior party leaders and cadres accompanied him during the nomination process, turning the event into a show of strength. Supporters gathered in large numbers and raised slogans in favour of the DMK.
The Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni seat is considered a key constituency, and the contest is expected to draw significant political attention in the state elections.
