
Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices increased in the state on Tuesday after recent fluctuations in the market. The price of gold rose to ₹13,685 per gram, while one sovereign reached ₹1,09,480.
The rate of 18-carat gold also went up to ₹11,310 per gram, with 8 grams priced at ₹90,480. Silver prices stood at ₹2,000 for 8 grams.
Market experts said gold prices continue to be influenced by international trends, the dollar-rupee exchange rate, and import duty. Gold had touched ₹1,26,920 per sovereign earlier this month.
