
Gold prices in the state increased on Wednesday after a sharp decline the previous day. The price of 22-carat gold rose by ₹345 per gram to ₹13,445. The cost of one sovereign (8 grams) also went up to ₹1,07,560.
This comes after gold prices had dropped to ₹99,480 per sovereign a day earlier, showing strong fluctuations in the market.
916 gold is priced at ₹13,445 per gram and ₹1,07,560 per sovereign. 18-carat gold is priced at ₹11,110 per gram and ₹88,880 per sovereign. Silver is priced at ₹250 per gram and ₹2,000 per 8 grams today.
Experts say the frequent changes in gold prices are due to instability in the international market. With global uncertainties continuing, gold rates are expected to remain volatile in the coming days.
