Kerala SSLC & Plus Two Exams Kick Off Thursday; Results Scheduled for May

Thiruvananthapuram: The much-awaited SSLC and Higher Secondary examinations for the academic year will begin across Kerala on Thursday, marking a crucial phase for lakhs of students. The exams will continue until March 30, with 3,031 centres set up statewide to ensure smooth conduct. As many as 4,17,497 students will appear for the SSLC (Class 10) examination in Kerala, while 633 students in the Gulf region and 386 in Lakshadweep have also registered. However, exams scheduled for Thursday in Gulf centres have been postponed in view of the prevailing West Asia situation. Nearly 26,000 teachers have been assigned examination duties.

The valuation process will commence on April 7 and conclude by April 28. Education Minister V. Sivankutty stated that appointment orders for Additional Chief Examiners and Examiners will be issued next week. The SSLC results are expected to be announced by the third week of May. Meanwhile, the First-Year Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exams will run until March 27, and the Second-Year exams from Friday until March 28. A total of 4,11,025 students will appear for the First-Year exams, 4,52,437 for the Second-Year exams, and 34,122 students will take the First-Year improvement exam. Higher Secondary results are slated for declaration on May 22.
