Thrissur: The election campaign of the NDA in the Thrissur Assembly constituency began on an energetic note as Padmaja Venugopal, National Executive Committee Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), inaugurated the wall-writing campaign by drawing the party’s lotus symbol near the Amarar Jawan Jyothi at Ayyanthole. Addressing party workers, she expressed confidence that the NDA would secure a major victory in Thrissur and asserted that the people would reject what she termed the “adjustment politics” of the Left and Right fronts. Padmaja Venugopal added that irrespective of who the candidate is, victory remains the sole objective and BJP workers in Thrissur are fully prepared to achieve it.
The event witnessed the participation of several party leaders, including BJP City District President Justin Jacob and district general secretaries Adv. K.R. Hari, Sujay Senan, P.K. Babu, and Ravikumar Uppath, along with other office-bearers. Hundreds of party workers gathered at the venue, raising slogans and extending a warm welcome to Padmaja Venugopal. Party leaders described the launch of the campaign as a strong beginning to the BJP’s election efforts in the constituency.
