Kalpetta: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will lay the foundation stone for houses being constructed for survivors of the Wayanad landslides on February 26. The initiative, undertaken by the Indian National Congress, aims to provide permanent rehabilitation for families affected by the devastating natural disaster in the hill district.
Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also be present at the function to be held in Kalpetta. The housing project is part of the party’s relief and rehabilitation efforts following the landslides that caused widespread destruction, displacement, and loss of lives in the region.
Congress leaders said the project reflects the party’s continued commitment to stand by affected families and support long-term rebuilding measures. The event is expected to be attended by local leaders, party workers, and residents, marking a significant step in the rehabilitation process for the landslide survivors in Wayanad.
