Thiruvananthapuram: The much-awaited results of the Kerala State Lottery’s Christmas–New Year Bumper draw were announced on Saturday, bringing festive cheer to Kottayam, where a ticket sold with number XC 138455 won the bumper first prize of ₹20 crore.
The draw was held at 2:00 PM at Gorky Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, amid massive public interest. The Christmas–New Year Bumper lottery, the biggest lottery event of the season, received an overwhelming response from buyers across the state.
As part of the prize distribution, 20 winners will receive ₹1 crore each as the second prize. The second-prize winning ticket numbers include XD 241658, XD 286844, XB 182497, XK 489087, XC 362518, XK 464575, XA 226117, XB 413318, XL 230208, and XC 103751, among others.
This year’s bumper lottery recorded historic sales, surpassing last year’s figures. Of the 55 lakh tickets printed, as many as 54,08,880 tickets were sold, compared to 47,65,650 tickets in the previous year.
In addition, 20 winners will receive ₹10 lakh each as the third prize, ₹3 lakh each for 20 winners as the fourth prize, and ₹2 lakh each for 20 winners as the fifth prize. Tickets were issued in 10 series, with nine consolation prizes of ₹1 lakh each awarded to the remaining series that missed the bumper prize.
Smaller prizes of ₹5,000, ₹2,000, ₹1,000, ₹500, and ₹400 are also part of the draw. Altogether, a total of 6,21,990 prizes are being distributed, making this year’s Christmas–New Year Bumper one of the most successful and widely participated lottery draws in Kerala’s history.
