Kerala Budget to Be Presented on January 29

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Budget for the upcoming financial year will be presented in the Legislative Assembly on January 29, official sources said. The budget is expected to outline the state government’s priorities amid continuing financial constraints and growing demands on the public exchequer.

The Finance Minister will present the budget before the Assembly, detailing proposals related to revenue generation, welfare schemes, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and social security. The government is also likely to focus on measures to address fiscal stress, enhance investment, and support key sectors of the state’s economy.

The budget session of the Assembly is expected to witness intense debates, with the opposition closely scrutinising the government’s financial management and policy direction. The Kerala Budget is traditionally seen as a key indicator of the government’s economic roadmap for the year ahead.
