Gold Shines Bright Again in Kerala — Prices Soar by ₹1,800 to Cross ₹92,000 Per Sovereign

Kerala’s gold market is glittering once more as prices witnessed a sharp jump of ₹1,800 per sovereign in a single day, crossing the ₹92,000 mark after weeks of fluctuation.

According to market updates, the price of one sovereign (8 grams) of gold now stands at ₹92,600, while the price per gram has surged by ₹225, reaching ₹11,575.

This rise comes after a relatively calm phase earlier in November when prices hovered between ₹89,000 and ₹90,000. At the start of the month, gold was priced at ₹90,200 per sovereign, before slipping to ₹89,080 on November 5.

The current rally brings the market closer to the all-time high of ₹97,360 per sovereign, recorded on October 17. After that peak, prices had dipped by nearly ₹9,000 before staging the present comeback.

Market analysts link the latest surge to global economic uncertainties and fluctuations in international gold rates, which have once again fueled domestic price movements.

With the festive and wedding season approaching, jewellers expect steady demand to keep prices elevated in the coming weeks, as Kerala’s enduring love affair with gold continues to shine bright.
