PM Modi Condoles Delhi Blast Victims; Reviews Situation with Home Minister Amit Shah

A tragic car explosion near the historic Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi has claimed the lives of at least eight people and left several others injured. The blast, which occurred on the evening of November 10, shook the busy area and damaged multiple nearby vehicles, prompting an immediate emergency response and heightened security across the capital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the incident, extending condolences to the families of the victims. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the blast in Delhi earlier this evening. May the injured recover at the earliest. Those affected are being assisted by authorities. Reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and other officials.”

Following the Prime Minister’s review, Home Minister Amit Shah took charge of the situation and directed senior officials to conduct a thorough investigation. The National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), and forensic teams have been deployed to examine the site and collect evidence.

Authorities are probing the explosion under anti-terrorism laws, and all possible angles are being investigated. Security has been tightened at key installations and crowded areas in Delhi.

Officials confirmed that emergency services swiftly moved the injured to nearby hospitals and that the government is ensuring all necessary assistance for victims and their families.

The blast has raised serious security concerns in the national capital, and both central and local authorities remain on high alert as investigations continue.
