Kannur: Two individuals who recently returned from the UAE have been diagnosed with mpox in Kerala. Both patients are currently receiving treatment at the Kannur Government Medical College Hospital (MCH), and health officials report that their condition is stable.
Health Minister Veena George has urged anyone who came in contact with these patients to immediately report any potential symptoms, such as fever, rash, or swollen lymph nodes, to the Health Department. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have intensified surveillance to prevent the spread of the infection.
The Health Department reassured the public that necessary measures are in place, and there is no immediate cause for alarm. Precautionary guidelines have been issued to mitigate further transmission.
