“Thank You, Thiruvananthapuram”: PM Modi Celebrates BJP’s Kerala Breakthrough

Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed the BJP’s strong showing in Kerala’s local body elections, calling the NDA’s historic victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation a milestone in the state’s political journey. In a series of three social media posts, the Prime Minister thanked party workers, the people of the capital city and voters across Kerala for backing the BJP’s expanding presence.

Praising the dedication of BJP cadres, Modi said the victory was the result of years of hard work and grassroots struggles by party workers across generations. “Our karyakartas are our strength, and we take pride in their commitment,” PM said, acknowledging their role in securing the landmark win.

Beginning his second message with “Thank you, Thiruvananthapuram!”, the Prime Minister described the NDA’s majority in the city corporation as a turning point in Kerala politics. PM said the people believe only the BJP can realise the state’s development aspirations, promising focused efforts to drive urban growth and improve the quality of life of citizens.

In his final post, Modi thanked voters across the state who supported BJP and NDA candidates, remarking that Kerala’s people are disillusioned with both the UDF and the LDF and now see the BJP as the only credible alternative for good governance and inclusive development. BJP leaders have since projected the Thiruvananthapuram result as a signal of a broader political shift, elevating the party’s Kerala gains to the national spotlight.
