Supreme Court Poised to Rule on Arvind Kejriwal’s Crucial Bail Plea Today

In a significant development, the Supreme Court is set to deliver its verdict on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bail plea later today. Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on June 26 in connection with the controversial Delhi liquor policy scam, remains in judicial custody despite securing interim bail from the Supreme Court in July. The arrest came shortly after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had detained him in March over related money laundering allegations.

The Aam Aadmi Party leader’s appeal challenges his arrest by the CBI and the Delhi High Court’s earlier rejection of his bail request. The final decision, to be delivered by a Supreme Court bench headed by Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan, will determine whether Kejriwal will be released or continue his legal battle from behind bars.
