Indore: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has fulfilled a promise he made to a student from Madhya Pradesh by arranging treatment for her eye condition in Delhi, the party said.
The Congress shared a video on Tuesday showing the student, Priyanka Sengar, returning home after recovering from her eye problem. In the video, she is seen smiling and gazing at the sky through an aircraft window, marking her first-ever flight journey.
The promise was made on September 19 during Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ youth outreach programme in Indore. During the event, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha invited several students to the stage to discuss their concerns related to education, employment and other issues.
Following his interaction with Priyanka, Gandhi took steps to ensure that she received medical treatment in Delhi, fulfilling his assurance to the student.
