Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared an article underscoring the pivotal role of India’s youth in shaping a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), calling young citizens the driving force behind the nation’s transformation.
In a post shared on social media, the Prime Minister said the article captures how India’s demographic strength, innovation, and aspirations of young people are laying the foundation for a developed and self-reliant nation. He noted that the energy, creativity, and commitment of the youth are essential to achieving India’s long-term goals.
The article highlights the contribution of young Indians across sectors such as technology, start-ups, education, sports, science, and social initiatives, and stresses the importance of skill development, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It also emphasises the role of youth in embracing new technologies, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
Reiterating the government’s focus on youth empowerment, the Prime Minister pointed to initiatives aimed at education reform, start-up promotion, digital innovation, and employment generation, which seek to provide young people with opportunities to lead India’s growth story.
Calling upon the youth to actively participate in nation-building, the Prime Minister said their ideas and leadership will be crucial in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, when India marks 100 years of Independence.
