New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings and best wishes to people across India and abroad on the occasion of Janmashtami, and called upon citizens to follow the ideals and teachings of Bhagwan Shri Krishna.
In her message issued on the eve of Janmashtami, the President said the life and teachings of Bhagwan Shri Krishna have continued to enrich India’s cultural and philosophical heritage.
She said Shri Krishna showed humanity the path of truth, righteousness, justice, compassion and selfless service, while his teachings in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita remain an enduring source of guidance for making wise decisions during difficult times and staying committed to moral values.
President Murmu said the festival of Janmashtami inspires people to uphold harmony and remain devoted to their duties and service to society.
She urged citizens to resolve on the occasion to follow the ideals of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and work tirelessly towards building an inclusive and developed India.
