NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended Good Friday greetings, recalling the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and emphasising the values of compassion, harmony and forgiveness.
In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said Good Friday reminds people of the importance of kindness and unity, and expressed hope that the values of brotherhood and peace would guide society.
He also underlined that the teachings associated with the day continue to inspire people to follow the path of empathy and understanding.
Good Friday is observed by Christians across the world to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and reflects on themes of sacrifice and redemption.
