New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela through video conferencing, reaffirming the government’s commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment. During the event, appointment letters were handed over to thousands of newly recruited candidates selected for government jobs across various departments.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said the Rozgar Mela reflects the Centre’s resolve to provide transparent, time-bound recruitment and create meaningful employment opportunities for the country’s youth. He highlighted that the new recruits will play a crucial role in strengthening governance and public service delivery.
The appointees have been selected for posts in key ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Railways, and the Department of Posts, among others. Rozgar Mela events were organised simultaneously at multiple locations across the country.
Prime Minister Modi noted that since its launch, the Rozgar Mela initiative has enabled large-scale recruitment in the public sector, helping lakhs of young Indians secure stable employment. He urged the new appointees to work with dedication, integrity, and a spirit of nation-building.
The Rozgar Mela is a flagship initiative of the Central Government aimed at fast-tracking recruitment processes and ensuring that vacancies in government departments are filled efficiently, contributing to economic growth and social development.
