New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to all Members of Parliament, including those from the Opposition, to support the unanimous election of CP Radhakrishnan as the Vice President of India.
Hailing Radhakrishnan’s long-standing commitment to public service and grassroots leadership, PM Modi said his candidacy reflects the NDA’s vision of inclusive governance. “Radhakrishnan ji has dedicated his life to serving society with humility and integrity. I urge all parties to rise above political lines and support him unanimously,” the Prime Minister stated.
The NDA is confident of securing a majority, but the Prime Minister’s outreach to the Opposition highlights a call for political consensus in electing one of the highest constitutional offices in the country.
