PM Modi Hails India’s Asia Cup Hockey Triumph: A Proud Moment for the Nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian Men’s Hockey Team for their stunning 4-1 victory over defending champions South Korea in the Asia Cup 2025 final held in Rajgir, Bihar. The emphatic win not only ended an eight-year wait for the title but also secured India a direct berth in the 2026 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Calling it a “proud moment for Indian hockey and Indian sports,” PM Modi lauded the team’s performance and wished the players greater success in the future. He also praised Bihar for hosting the event with excellence, describing Rajgir as an emerging vibrant sporting hub.

India’s commanding triumph has reaffirmed its dominance in Asian hockey and brought immense pride to fans across the nation.
