Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the youth of India to play a pivotal role in shaping the country’s future as part of his vision for a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047. In his speech at the launch of the “Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth” initiative, Modi described this period as India’s “Amrit Kaal,” a golden age of opportunity for national growth. He emphasized that the youth should focus their energy on building a self-reliant, prosperous India, urging them to prioritize the nation’s welfare above all else.
The initiative encourages young minds, particularly students and professionals, to submit innovative ideas that will contribute to India’s development. Platforms such as MyGov have been set up to gather suggestions on key themes like economic growth, governance, and sustainability. Modi also called upon educational institutions to foster values like quality, discipline, and societal contribution among students.
This initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s broader vision of making India a global leader by 2047, with the youth at the heart of this transformation.
