Balotra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹1.06 lakh crore in Rajasthan’s Balotra.
The projects span the aviation, energy and connectivity sectors, including the dedication of the Rajasthan Refinery, the inauguration of the new terminal at Jodhpur Airport, expansion of the Jaipur Metro, and water supply initiatives for the Shekhawati region.
Addressing a public gathering, Modi said the projects would strengthen infrastructure, boost tourism, trade and employment, and improve ease of living. He also highlighted India’s handling of the recent global energy crisis, stating that timely decisions, balanced resource management and effective diplomacy helped the country maintain fuel supplies and shield consumers from sharp price hikes.
