New Delhi: In a powerful and emotionally charged address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Indian armed forces and reaffirmed India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism. Speaking for the first time since the launch of Operation Sindoor, PM Modi declared the mission a resounding success and a message to the world that India will respond to terror on its own terms.
“Every terrorist now knows the consequence of wiping the sindoor from the foreheads of our sisters and daughters,” Modi said, saluting the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists behind the operation.
Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians were brutally killed, the Prime Minister said the entire country was shaken. “Those innocent people were killed in front of their families, after being asked their religion. The cruelty was unimaginable,” PM said.
Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor was not merely a military action but “an unbroken pledge for justice.” PM added that Indian forces struck deep into Pakistan, targeting major terrorist hubs like Bahawalpur and Muridke, known for their links to global terrorism, including 9/11.
“We have not ended the operation—we have only paused it. Pakistan’s plans to strike at our borders were crushed at their very core,” Modi warned, making it clear that nuclear blackmail would no longer be tolerated.
PM said Operation Sindoor had “redefined the fight against terror,” and stood as a new benchmark of how India will confront threats. “Terrorists wouldn’t have dreamed that India would take such bold steps. But Indian missiles and drones didn’t just destroy their buildings, they shattered their morale,” Modi declared.
In a heartfelt tribute, he dedicated the operation’s success to “every mother, sister, and daughter of the country”, reinforcing the emotional and nationalistic undertone of the mission.
