Mananthavady: NDA candidate P. Shyamraj began his election campaign in Mananthavady with a visit to the Thirunelli Temple. He also visited the well-known Vellan Vaidyar at Thirunelli. Later, he met people in different parts of Thavinjal panchayat, including Kathalott, Venmani, Kavil, Edamana, Edathana, Kuniimmal, Muthuvattil, Illathamoola, Idalakkuni, and Pukkode.
During his visit, Shyamraj raised concerns about lack of development in the area. He said that even though it is the constituency of Minister O. R. Kelu, many basic development works have not been carried out. He also pointed out that the region depends mainly on agriculture. However, he alleged that proper protection has not been provided along the forest borders. Local people shared their concerns during the visit. Shyamraj said that the NDA can bring development and change to Mananthavady.
