Pathanamthitta, Kerala: In a heartwarming gesture, veteran actor Mohanlal performed a special Neeranjanam offering at the sacred Sabarimala temple in the name of his longtime friend and fellow superstar, Mammootty.
The offering was registered under the name Muhammad Kutty, Vishakham—Mammootty’s birth name—along with a separate offering for Mohanlal’s wife, Suchitra. Reports suggest that before embarking on his pilgrimage, Mohanlal personally informed Mammootty about the offering.
The actor, accompanied by close friends, began his spiritual journey at the Ganapathi temple in Pamba before trekking to the hill shrine. He had darshan in the evening and is set to complete the Neyyabhishekam ritual on Wednesday morning before concluding his visit.
