Kochi is all set to welcome its own open-roof double-decker sightseeing bus tour, starting July 13, offering a fresh and exciting way for locals and tourists to take in the city’s vibrant charm and backwater breeze. Following its success in Thiruvananthapuram, the ‘City Sightseeing’ initiative will kick off with an official launch ceremony at 6 PM from the KSRTC Boat Jetty, attended by ministers and dignitaries.
As part of Kerala’s budget tourism push, this daily service will run between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM, covering scenic routes including Thevara, Cochin Port Trust Avenue, the popular Walkway, Maharaja’s College, High Court Junction, Gosree Bridge, and ending at Kalamukku Junction. Passengers on the upper open deck can enjoy panoramic views of Kochi’s skyline and waterfront, making for an unforgettable sunset ride. Fare details will be announced soon, but officials promise an affordable and memorable urban tourism experience in the heart of Kochi.
