Kerala to Receive ₹3 Lakh Crore Infrastructure Boost: Nitin Gadkari Unveils Major Road Projects

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a massive ₹3 lakh crore infrastructure investment for Kerala, unveiling 31 key road projects spanning 896 kilometers. The announcement was made during his virtual address at the Invest Kerala Global Summit.

Among the major developments, the Palakkad-Malappuram National Highway will be expanded into a four-lane road at an estimated cost of ₹10,840 crore, covering 120 kilometers. The highly anticipated Ankamaly-Kundannoor bypass is set to receive ₹6,500 crore, with the Detailed Project Report (DPR) already underway and construction expected to begin within six months. Additionally, the Thiruvananthapuram Outer Ring Road project will see an investment of ₹5,000 crore, covering 62.7 kilometers, with construction set to commence in five months.

These ambitious projects aim to revolutionize Kerala’s road infrastructure, significantly reducing travel time, enhancing connectivity, and accelerating industrial growth across the state.
